Every millimetre counts, every detail is important Every millimetre counts, every detail is important. When we originally started bringing this dream kitchen to life for our clients, we weren’t engaged to do flooring or paint. The ripple effect on this during a build is hard for us as we intend to finish all elements to perfection. If we didn’t do the finished flooring, there would be no waterfall stone, no cabinetry kicks as that detail is done post flooring. If paint were to be done by others, then the area isn’t silicone sealed, there are no skirting boards and it’s simply unfinished. This is why we say renovations are head vs. heart, get firm on your budget before you gather quotes. We’ve bought kitchen dreams to life from $19,000 up to $80,000 because the options are endless, the size varies. If you’re looking at extending your home you can start by finding a builder to take through your ideas, often if your builder is apart of the design process it’ll make the entire process easier for the home owner as the builder will consider a budget and assist on next steps. A draftsman/architect will start putting pen to paper and revise the drawings with you until you have the perfect plan. You’ll post the drawings off to an Engineer who will create a set of plans that ensures your builder has all the details required to meet specifications and codes during the construction. Then you need approval to construct, in QLD a private certifier arranges this on behalf of the home owner and handles the submissions and paperwork with council.
